About the Journal

The University of Sunderland Reflective Action in Education Journal (SUNRAE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, devoted to early career teacher practitioner research. All submissions are made by current and recent students on international teacher education programmes at the University of Sunderland.

This journal aims to create a culture of collegiality and scholarship between staff, students and alumni. The primary function of the journal is to promote student research and reflection, which we believe is key to the development of research-informed educators.

The journal publishes case studies and reports of action research undertaken during international initial teacher education. It also publishes conference proceedings and staff working papers.

There is a general call for papers (CfP) and submissions can be made at any time.
